Hello Truck Lease (“HTL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides business-to-business truck leasing and related services to commercial customers. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our websites, applications, leasing and underwriting processes, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who interact with the Services on behalf of a business customer, including employees, drivers, and other authorized users (“Authorized Users”), prospective customers who apply for leasing or provide personal guaranties (“Applicants”), and individuals who visit or interact with our websites or marketing channels. The Services are intended solely for commercial use, and HTL does not knowingly provide Services to individuals acting in a personal or household context.

1.     Scope and Definitions

Business Customers. HTL’s customers are businesses. HTL provides Services to business customers and individuals acting on their behalf.

Personal Information. “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked to an individual, including individuals acting in a business or commercial capacity.

2.     Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following categories and through the following sources:

A. Business Representatives and Authorized Users

We may collect:

●      Name, business email address, phone number

●      Employer or business name, address, and role

●      Account credentials (stored in protected form)

●      Permissions and access roles

●      Communications (emails, support requests, call notes)

B. Applicants and Guarantors

In connection with lease applications and underwriting, we may collect:

●      Identifiers such as name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license or government-issued identification

●      contact information including email, phone number, current address

●      financial information such as bank statements, financial records, and related documentation

●      application information such as ownership interests, business affiliations, and related disclosures

●      credit information such as consumer credit reports and related data obtained from third-party credit reporting agencies such as consumer reporting agencies (e.g., Experian)

This information may be collected through electronic forms, document signing platforms, email communications, secure upload links, or other application workflows.

C. Job Applicants

We may collect:

●      resumes and application information

●      limited background screening information (post-offer)

●      contact and employment-related details

We do not collect biometric identifiers.

D. Information Collected Automatically

When you use our websites or Services, we may collect:

●      device and usage data (browser type, operating system, pages viewed, session activity)

●      log and security data (IP address, access times, authentication events)

●      online identifiers and tracking data collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

●      approximate location information derived from IP address or network signals

We do not intentionally collect precise real-time geolocation information (such as GPS coordinates). Any location-related information is derived from network signals, device settings, or transactional context rather than real-time location tracking.

●      comply with legal obligations

●      enforce agreements and protect rights

Personal information collected for underwriting (including credit reports, SSNs, and financial documents) is not used for advertising or marketing purposes.

4.     Analytics and Tracking

 We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand how the Services and our websites are used, improve performance, and support marketing efforts.

These tools may include analytics platforms (e.g., website traffic and usage analysis), advertising and retargeting technologies such as Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Ads, and conversion tracking and marketing measurement tools.

These technologies may collect online identifiers, device and browser information, and interaction and navigation data, and some analytics and measurement tools may enable third parties to collect information across different websites or online services over time. Where applicable, such activity may be considered “sharing” under certain U.S. state privacy laws.

HTL does not sell personal information.

5.     How We Disclose Personal Information

 We may disclose personal information as follows:

A. Business Customers

Our Business Customers may access information relating to their Authorized Users and program activity. Business Customers control Authorized User accounts and permissions and may manage or request changes to certain information. HTL is not responsible for how Business Customers use information about their Authorized Users, which is governed by the Business Customer’s own policies and applicable law.

B. Service Providers

 We disclose information to vendors that support our operations, including:

●      cloud storage and infrastructure

●      CRM and document management systems

●      payment processors

●      analytics, advertising, and marketing providers

●      IT, security, and communications tools 

These providers are contractually required to safeguard information and use it only for authorized purposes.

C. Program Partners and Affiliates

We disclose information to program partners as necessary to administer the program, provide reporting, and support business customers. We may also share personal information with affiliated entities under common ownership or control for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy, including operational support, underwriting, servicing, internal business functions, and, where applicable, for marketing and promotional purposes.

D. Credit and Financial Partners

We may share information with credit reporting agencies, underwriting partners, payment servicers, and financial service providers, as necessary to evaluate applications and administer leases.

E. Legal and Compliance

We may disclose information to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate or prevent misconduct, or respond to regulatory or contractual requirements.

F. Business Transfers

 If HTL is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be disclosed in connection with that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

G. Mobile Information and SMS Consent

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy, mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent related to text messaging will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. This information will be used solely for providing SMS communications from Hello Truck Lease and for no other purpose.

6.     Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies such as pixels, tags, SDKs, and session-based tools to support functionality, authentication, security, analytics, performance measurement, and website optimization. These technologies help us understand how the Services and our websites are used, maintain reliability, and improve user experience.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, administer the program, comply with legal and contractual obligations, and resolve disputes. We may retain information subject to legal holds or preservation obligations. When personal information is disposed of, HTL uses reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access or use, consistent with applicable data disposal laws.

9.     Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your relationship with HTL and applicable law, you may have the ability to access, correct, or request deletion of certain personal information. In many cases, where you act on behalf of a business customer, requests may need to be directed through your employer or account administrator.

 You may opt out of promotional communications where applicable. You may also manage cookie preferences through browser settings or available tools. Where required by law, we will process verified requests in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

10.  Children’s Privacy

 The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11.  California Privacy Notice (CPRA)

 This section applies to California residents only to the extent that the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), applies to HTL’s activities. This notice is provided for transparency and does not apply where statutory exemptions apply, including exemptions relating to business-to-business or employment-related personal information.

HTL may collect identifiers, business contact information, financial and credit-related information, internet activity data, approximate geolocation data, and professional or employment-related information. We may also collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers and financial information, for limited purposes including underwriting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about individuals.

HTL does not sell personal information. We may share certain information, such as online identifiers or usage data, with analytics and advertising providers in a manner that may be considered “sharing” under California law, including for cross-context behavioral advertising.

California residents may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or to opt out of certain data sharing, subject to applicable exceptions. Where information relates to an individual acting on behalf of a business customer, we may coordinate with that business customer in responding to requests. Requests may be submitted by contacting us as described in Section 13 (Contact Us). We may verify your identity and, where appropriate, verify your authority to make the request. Certain requests may be denied or limited where an exemption applies or where compliance would conflict with contractual or legal obligations.

12.   Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date and providing notice where required by law.
